This design features Alan Brunacini, known simply as "Bruno," former Phoenix Fire Chief and one of the most influential leaders in fire service history. "Be Nice" wasn't just a phrase to him, it was a leadership philosophy. Bruno believed firefighters could be aggressive on the fireground, professional in their craft, and still treat every person, coworker, and citizen with dignity and respect. That belief set Phoenix Fire Department culture to this day and made Bruno nationally known as "America's Fire Chief."
